Working with Democrats, Republicans, and independents, AAFAC serves as a national child health lobby, engaging federal and state policymakers to promote public policies that:
- Improve children’s health, safety, and long-term well-being.
- Strengthen the systems and supports that families rely on.
- Expand opportunities for all children to grow, learn, and thrive, reflecting our shared investment in our nation’s future.
AAFAC advances these goals by educating policymakers about the needs of children and by lobbying for evidence-informed policies, including expanded access to comprehensive pediatric health care that includes services for children with special healthcare needs, strengthened family and community supports, and initiatives that reduce preventable harm and improve outcomes for .
